Designed for the situation where you have your image files, but you do not have the metadata, for whatever reason. Windows will not sort the native Laserfiche files correctly, due to the naming system used. The Volume Recovery Tool solves this problem by renaming the Laserfiche files in a manner that puts them back into their original sequence.
Features
Easy to use utility that helps to recover from situations where you have lost a Volume’s metadata, or the metadata has become corrupted.
The problem is this: Laserfiche’s file naming convention is based on a Hexadecimal system. When you list a directory worth of files with Hexadecimal names, they will not arrange themselves in the original sequence. You are certain to get pages mixed up between documents. So any kind of re-indexing effort also has to get the pages in the right sequence.
The Volume Recovery Tool does exactly that. You browse to the folder with the volume you want to recover, determine where you want the renamed files, and let it rip! When you reprocess the files (Maybe you used bar codes the first time...) they will be in their original sequence. This preserves your documents and keeps pages from getting mixed up between documents.
