SharePoint Interoperability

Agile ECM engineered with Laserfiche and SharePoint takes Laserfiche’s tradition of Microsoft interoperability to a new level, with support for developers who need to control content, extend collaboration and tailor specialized business processes to departmental needs, without interfering with centralized administration and control.

  • Laserfiche WebPart for SharePoint: Provides personalized, authenticated access to stored content from SharePoint pages. Directly scan or upload content into the secure ECM repository from SharePoint.
  • Laserfiche Search Protocol Handler and Security Trimmer: Provide federated search across content stored in both Laserfiche and SharePoint from the SharePoint interface.
  • Laserfiche Records Center Service: Minimize the content stored in SharePoint and move it into a centralized Laserfiche ECM repository when the collaboration phase is finished. Data synchronization ensures that a variety of tasks—such as moving documents, preserving links, limiting copies and removing deleted documents—are handled automatically, without administrative intervention.
  • Workflow Designer: Support custom workflow activities, including SharePoint specific activities. Use built-in activities to build workflows quickly; create custom VB.Net and C# scripts using a built-in editor, or design your own activities. Export ECM workflows as WF workflow definitions; use Visual Studio .NET to incorporate them into your own WF workflows.

Basic Functionality

  • Access your Laserfiche documents directly from your SharePoint site.
  • Import and/or Scan documents directly into Laserfiche from SharePoint.
  • Search all documents—both SharePoint and Laserfiche—from the SharePoint search page.
  • Send documents from SharePoint directly to Laserfiche when you've finished collaborating on them.
  • Respect Laserfiche security.
