Overview

Fast Folders Bar Code Tool (FFBC) ties any Fast Folders XML file together with one or more respective “.csv” or “.txt” files that are designed to be read by that FF profile and generates one bar coded sheet per folder or document. FFBC reads the two respective files, merges the data together and outputs the information to a printer of the user’s choice

For instance if the folders structure has 4 folders (regardless of where they are nested) and one document in each folder and there are 5 records in the “.csv” or “.txt” file then FFBC will generate 4 (folders) x 4 (documents) x 5 (records) = 80 separator sheets.

Each folder or document separator sheet would include the word “folder” or “document” and the name of the folder or document. Following will then be the template name, field names and the data from the ".csv" or ".txt" file for that folder or document.

The bar code that is generated is 3 of 9, but could be changed if necessary. There are four user inputs: profile name, database output (“.csv” or “.txt” name), destination path for your files and the printer. The program remembers the last entry, so you only need to change values that have changed. They are changed by clicking on the Profile, Database or Path buttons or choosing a printer from the dropdown list.
