The Laserfiche Institute’s initiative to offer Advanced Training came directly from conversations we had with customers at the Laserfiche Institute Conference last January. We received feedback that our User and Administrator training courses were great, but there was a need for advanced training on more specialized topics and products. Last year, we offered a few Advanced Training sessions as part of our regional training initiative and they were well received, but it was hard to fill the classes because there are inherently fewer people who need the specialized training in any given region.
In talking to customers at the conference, we determined that a nice compromise would be to offer the classes at our training center in Long Beach, CA, on a quarterly basis and schedule an entire week of training to enable users to get the most from the trip. Pricing for individual classes is the same as the Administrator class we offer through regional training, but we’re offering pretty significant discounts to encourage customers to take multiple classes. Before we set the schedule, we sent a survey to customers to make sure we’re able to offer the classes they’re most interested in attending.
Right now, we’re offering the following classes during each week of Advanced Training. We’ve scheduled the most popular classes for the middle of the week so most people won’t have to travel over the weekend.

The classes are all hands on, with a laptop provided for each student—just like our regional training classes—and run from 9:00 to 4:00 every day, with breakfast and lunch provided.
