I attended Laserfiche Administrative Training because I felt that there was more to Laserfiche than what I was seeing. While the manuals are helpful, there are times when hands-on training can be more effective. I know from experience that it’s the little things you don’t pick up from manuals or changes in updates that get covered in training sessions. Sometimes small tips can help you in the long run. I was hoping to get a better grasp of the familiar features in Advanced Training and learn about more features that I was not aware of.

The training helped to fill in the gaps in my understanding of the Administration Console and its features. I gained a clearer understanding about the server and client architecture, the connection between the Laserfiche software and the operating software, the Laserfiche file structure on the server, some of the new template features of Laserfiche 7.2, what is important to backup, security features and access rights on several levels. It also gave me ideas on how to create shortcuts within our Laserfiche system.

The classes helped me to become more comfortable when I have to deal with Laserfiche software issues. I was able to fine-tune my access rights and privileges. Learning more about what to check for on the server was most helpful, as well as getting a better understanding of access rights and privileges.

Attending the sessions confirmed that there is always something new to learn. At these classes you can get tips and tricks from other members of the Laserfiche community. You can see clearly that you are not alone in dealing with the challenges that come with document management and learn from others who are using Laserfiche software.
