Did you know that new customer stories are regularly posted to the Laserfiche News Portal? If you haven’t been keeping up, here’s what you’ve been missing:

Elk River: Badge to the Future: “Police departments in general create a lot of paperwork and kill a lot of trees,” says Jeffrey Beahen, Chief of Police for Elk River, MN. But Beahen’s department is saving trees and racking up awards—including one for Excellence in Innovation in Information Technology from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Beahen upgraded the department’s technology, installing computers and building a network to get everyone on e-mail. Next up was finding an information storage system to use on the new network. Beahen immediately saw Laserfiche’s potential. “We wanted to get to the point where everything for a case file could be scanned in and filed by case number and the whole thing could be sent out as an attachment,” he says. “We just wanted to make it that simple.”

Laserfiche Extinguishes Disaster Recovery Worries: MultiMed, an industry-leading emergency medical services billing company located in Baldwinsville, NY, was faced with a three-alarm fire that nearly engulfed the office complex. Fortunately, MultiMed had a disaster recovery plan in place: the Laserfiche digital document management system. CEO Bill Long appreciates the peace of mind that Laserfiche offers every day. “We’re in the medical field, but every business has shared concerns, and similar documents to protect—invoices, HR files. It’s important to be prepared for anything. Laserfiche’s disaster recovery features have been like insurance—you hope you never need to use it, but if anything does happen, boy, are you glad you’ve got it.”

Paperless Meetings Are the Wave of the Future: New Jersey communities are using Laserfiche to eliminate paper and put more information in the hands of decision makers at public government meetings. Ramsey, NJ, Borough Clerk Meredith Bendian says: “I love it. Our council is receiving it very well. It enables us to link to every document that has to do with whatever agenda item we’re working on. We put it all in there together with the agenda.”
