Laserfiche CEO and President Nien-Ling Wacker was recently named City National Bank’s Entrepreneur of the Year at a special luncheon hosted by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce. In her speech, she credited the entire Laserfiche community for its entrepreneurial spirit, especially in the current economy, which she likened to a “really, really bad snowstorm.”

“A lot of people intend to turn the light down a little bit, maybe stay out of it until the snowstorm is over,” she said. “Think of the Eskimos. Nine months out of the year, they’re there – they’re still fishing. They’re hunting. And that’s what the entrepreneurial spirit is all about. They found a new way to adapt to working in a different environment.”

Her “Eskimo” analogy drew thunderous applause. Here’s the video of the speech (which is also posted above), as well as the video the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce produced honoring Laserfiche.

Congratulations again to the entire Laserfiche community, who as always inspire us with your innovation and creativity!
