Quick Fields 8.0.1 Released

Read about the latest Quick Fields 8.0.1 enhancements such as improved Zone OCR, improved capture and configuration and Quick Fields Agent expanded scheduling options.

September 24th, 2009

Laserfiche is pleased to announce the release of Quick Fields 8.0.1. This maintenance release of Quick Field includes the full release version of the Scripting Kit as well as full support for Quick Fields Agent 8.0.1.

Quick Fields 8.0.1 enhancements include:

  • Zone OCR improvements: place a token in a multi-value field and each line of the captured zone automatically becomes a separate value. Custom character preferences can be set for letters, numbers or punctuation on a per-character basis.
  • Capture and Configuration improvements: search for documents – by path, field, token or text – and multi-select the results to store, delete or bookmark for later processing. Also create settings for whether to keep toolbar and pane layouts, custom keyboard shortcuts, process profiles, and Quick Fields options when importing or exporting sessions.
  • Quick Fields Agent Expanded Scheduling Options: Set schedules to run once, daily, weekly or monthly, or to specify an end date. Sessions can also be set to either scan, store, or scan and store. Multiple sessions can be prioritized and run at the same time.
  • Quick Fields Agent Expanded Reporting and Validation: allow global event viewer to easily check on errors and view a history of every scheduled session. Also session validation is available so Quick Fields Agent will not run into message prompts while processing.
  • Quick Fields Scripting Kit Release: includes nine hooks into Quick Fields processing where users can run custom scripts that can each add data, such as setting fields and tokens, to the document or page objects. Comes with a fully functional Visual Studio-like project with external references, organizational folders, and C# or VB autocomplete system.
