But the woman behind the modest city’s steady, patient success managing its documents, Laserfiche Luminary Corene “Corey” Hall, knows it doesn’t have to. It just needs to be able to make a difference. And with Hall’s help, it has, slowly but surely turning what was once an unused Laserfiche system into a tool that has helped Kenai not only survive, but thrive amidst economic changes and personnel shifts.

Nominations are now open for the 2009 Run Smarter Awards.

Each year, we recognize some of our most creative and successful users with a Run Smarter Award, which we present in the government, financial services, healthcare, education and commercial categories. Winners receive a scholarship and three-night hotel accommodations at the 2010 Laserfiche Institution Conference, a speaking slot in the Industry Solutions track at the Conference so they can share their award-winning story with others, a congratulatory plaque and a profile in the UserNews.

Nominations are now open for this year’s awards, so please take a few minutes to tell us how Laserfiche helps your organization cut costs, simplify complex tasks and provide clients and constituents with better service. Don’t be afraid of the spotlight—we want to know about the innovative and inventive ways you’re using Laserfiche. And we want other users to know, too.

Proposals Now Being Accepted for 2010 Conference Industry Solutions Track Courses

We’re now accepting proposals for classes in the Industry Solutions Track at the 2010 Laserfiche Institute Conference.

The Laserfiche Institute Conference is the primary gathering of the worldwide Laserfiche community. In addition to labs, demos and presentations cover everything from project planning to systems integration, the conference also features the Industry Solutions Track, where Laserfiche customers explain how their organization uses Laserfiche to optimize workflow, eliminate redundancy and cut costs.

This year, we’re accepting proposals for Industry Solutions Track classes. All proposals will be reviewed for the following criteria:

  • Content that is challenging, in-depth or practical and is oriented toward using Laserfiche to more effectively and efficiently manage information and/or business processes.
  • Innovative or new uses of Laserfiche to meet current and emerging issues.
  • Professional experience and background of the facilitator.

If your proposal is accepted, you will receive complimentary registration to the Laserfiche Institute Conference and a hotel room at the LAX Hilton for 3 nights. You are responsible for any travel expenses incurred.

We invite all Laserfiche users to apply to teach a course at the conference and share their stories with others. It’s the best example of the Laserfiche community in action!

Drucker Institute director Rick Wartzman was featured as a keynote speaker at the 2008 Laserfiche Institute Conference, where he shared lessons from Peter Drucker on information and knowledge in an ever-changing world. The conference, sponsored by Laserfiche, a leading document, records and information management company, was attended by nearly 1,000 people. Among them were Laserfiche employees, resellers and customers.
