Key to this transition, Burns believed, was leveraging business technology to minimize both the operational and risk management costs of working directly with advisors. “As a growing company, technology was the way to get more done with a smaller headcount,” he says.

LONG BEACH, CA (Laserfiche) Oct. 19, 2009—Laserfiche® today announced it is geared to support new features for its Agile ECM framework using the enhanced capabilities of the upcoming release of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. Laserfiche will add an ADO.NET provider to its existing SharePoint Server 2010 integration to enable access to Laserfiche data from Business Connectivity Services. Federated search will be supported to retrieve documents using Laserfiche’s search engine at the same time a SharePoint repository is searched. Records Management document categorization will be enhanced through the use of SharePoint Server 2010 Business Connectivity Services. Document content will be more finely tuned to match the topic of portal pages.
