Halbert, Hargrove / Russell, LLC, Long Beach, CA
LONG BEACH, CA A growing investment advisory firm reduced IT costs and enhanced web-based productivity by implementing Laserfiche Document Imaging, an out-of-the-box solution that enables the creation of highly interactive content for enterprise offices.
Hundreds of high net-worth individuals depend on Halbert, Hargove/Russell,LLC, for investment advice, and the company wanted to ensure that it could internally monitor the technical aspects of its accounts. Recently, the company made a concentrated effort to expand and added offices in Chicago and Washington to its Long Beach-based network of advisors.
Installing a fully-functional technology base—one that met compliance issues while providing employees and clients with unimpeded access—was a top priority of HH/R’s expansion efforts.
“Our clients depend on us to make the right investment choices. In fact, we are an employee-owned company, so we are very serious about making sure that all of our resources are aimed towards building our clients’ portfolios,” said Russell T. Hill, president of HH/R. “Our old document management system, FileNet, required a great amount of costly maintenance. We chose Laserfiche because we were able to mold it to our client-first mission without any interruptions or added costs.”
Although HH/R switched from a competitive document management system, none of the clients’ digital records were compromised because Laserfiche is a non-proprietary solution. Within days, HH/R clients were reviewing their portfolios via the Internet, beneficiaries of an enhanced, more intuitive way to track their investments.
Now, IT staff molds Web Reporting solutions according to HH/R’s specific needs. With increased functionality in their digital environment, HH/R counselors and support staff can make timelier, more informed decisions, thanks to a speedy Laserfiche Workflow module.
“Based on prior experience, our IT team had set aside 3 days to train our staff on Laserfiche to complete our quarterly reporting cycle. To our surprise, this portion of the project was reduced to just a couple of hours,” said J.C. Abusaid, HH/R’s director of operations. “From that moment on, we realized what a huge success this was. To this day, we continue to find shortcuts and more efficient ways to help our clients and investment counselors make the best decisions.”
