LASERFICHE ENDUSERS HAVE WON THE FIRST Laserfiche
Run Smarter Awards. Each has earned a scholarship
to next spring's International Laserfiche User Conference
and other prizes.
The
winners were chosen from entries submitted from
the US and around the world. This year's Run Smarter
winners (with brief comments from each) are:
GOVERNMENT
Roz Vinson, City of Riverside, CA, Police Department:
"Laserfiche is our records management system.
We will be able to access all case file information,
including police reports, audio recordings, 911
calls, in-car videos, interview videos, photos,
diagrams...and the list goes on...in one Laserfiche
database. We've shredded 1,000+ boxes of paper so
far.”
Chong
Yim, US Army, Fort Hood, TX: “Documents
are never lost and are acceptable in court. Counselors
serving soldiers and families can reliably retrieve
educational records...and can provide soldiers with
documents needed for promotion.”
COMMERCIAL
Susan
Robinson, American Express Financial Advisors, Norman,
OK: “We got our compliance staff on a
paradigm shift. Before, paper management was a nightmare.
We're well on the way to a paperless, more efficient
environment.”
HEALTHCARE
Mardi Morillo, MBC Systems, Santa Ana, CA:
“Digital workflow has revolutionized our medical
collection efforts. The ability to send documents
has helped us work smarter and build an intelligent
workflow process.”
Martin
Handfield, BCE-Emergis, Montreal, Canada: “We
eliminated filing cabinets. We can treat more patients
than before, and workflow facilitates the way things
are handled between nurses and doctors.”
EDUCATION
Robert Sciortino, Los Angeles County Department
of Education: “Educational compliance
issues have been greatly reduced! Information is
available within minutes. Cost of faxing is greatly
reduced due to WebLink!”
