Start Page

The Start Page is displayed when Laserfiche opens, and allows a user to select and log in to a Laserfiche repository. It also provides basic information about your Laserfiche installation, such as the product type, version, and registration information.

Available Repositories: This area displays a list of the available Laserfiche repositories. To open a repository, double-click it, or select the one you want and click Open.

Right-click on a repository to display two additional options in a shortcut menu.

• Remove Selected Repository removes the selected repository from the list. This option is only available when a previously attached repository is selected.
• Scan Network for Repositories determines if Laserfiche will actively look for repositories when the Laserfiche Start Page appears or is refreshed. Turning this option off will cause Laserfiche to only display previously attached repositories.

Open: This button opens the selected Laserfiche repository.

Attach: This button opens the Attach Repository dialog box to allow a previously unavailable repository to be viewed from Laserfiche.

Refresh: This button refreshes the list of repositories.

Use Windows Authentication: This option determines how a user will log in to the selected Laserfiche repository. If the Laserfiche administrator has configured Laserfiche security to allow Windows users to access the repository, this option will be available. If not, this option will be unavailable.

• Selected: The user will log in to the Laserfiche repository using the Windows username and password used to log in to the computer or network.
• Cleared: The user will need to specify a user name and password before being allowed access to the Laserfiche repository.
