The Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties have just released the results of their 2013 Digital Counties Survey, and we’re proud to announce that 20 Laserfiche customers made the list!

  • Chesterfield County VA uses Laserfiche Enterprise Content ManagementChesterfield County, VA, which took the top spot in the 250,000-499,999 population category, is piloting a BYOD program, expanded its Wi-Fi network to nearly 90 locations and completed a mobile version of its website. It also continued to refine its document-driven business processes using Laserfiche Workflow and the method described in this Laserfiche Solution Exchange: “Your First Laserfiche Project.
  • Charles County MD uses Laserfiche Enterprise Content ManagementCatawba County, NC, and Charles County, MD, two more category winners, both focused on extending their mobile capabilities. Catawba County’s CIO said, “There’s hardly a week that goes by that we don’t change something to make it a little bit easier for somebody to use some type of device.”
  • Loudon County VA uses Laserfiche Enterprise Content ManagementLoudoun County, VA, is applying a shared services model to leverage economies of scale and make more efficient use of IT resources. According to Bill McIntyre, Division Manager of Enterprise IT, “Loudoun County and the Loudoun County Public School District came together and are implementing a shared ERP system with Laserfiche Rio integrated on the back end. Laserfiche Rio provides the enterprise document management functionality we need in our ERP system, along with standalone benefits for a number of county departments—including a cost savings of $51,000 a year on office supplies in the Department of Family Services alone.”
  • Cumberland County uses Laserfiche Enterprise Content ManagementCumberland County, PA, is using Laserfiche to “increase efficiencies and improve service,” said Commissioner Gary Eichelberger. “We expect a lot of over-the-counter business to migrate online over time, which saves the public from the need to travel to the courthouse and can potentially reduce resources for counter staff that used to be needed to handle walk-in business.”
