Laserfiche is now certified against all five specifications of Australia’s Victorian Electronic Records Strategy (VERS) Standard. The new certification includes tamper-proof security to guarantee electronic document integrity and digital signature support for both documents and briefcases.

Due to its rigorous testing process, VERS has become the worldwide standard on electronic data preservation, as it specifies a standard format for electronic records that’s centered around reliability and authentic archiving.

As a VERS-compliant solution, Laserfiche:

  • Ensures document integrity with digital signature support for both documents and briefcases.
  • Eliminates document tampering with a number of tamper-protection features including volume data hashing and audit log tamper protection.
  • Guarantees long-term and cost-effective preservation with VERS Encapsulated Objects (VEOs) that contain both the record content and its metadata.

In addition to VERS, Laserfiche Records Management Edition has been certified as compliant with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2 standard since 2003. In 2010, Laserfiche became the first records management provider to obtain DoD 5015.2 certification for its integration with SharePoint 2010.
