Fostering healthy, happy communities has always been a core value of Laserfiche. Employees participate in many outreach initiatives throughout the year and we strive to promote a company culture that both empowers employee philanthropy and facilitates employee volunteerism. As part of this commitment, for one evening each month, a group of Laserfiche employees bands together to serve a hot dinner at the Long Beach Rescue Mission.
The Long Beach Rescue Mission provides shelter, hot meals, life skills, and job training to homeless men, women and children in the Long Beach area. Services are aimed at getting homeless individuals back on their feet, and include a comprehensive program focused on self-sufficiency. Graduates of the program learn employment and financial management skills, in addition to completing academic milestones. In addition, the Rescue Mission serves 500 meals a day to those needing a warm meal and helping hand.
The last Thursday of the each month, members of the Laserfiche staff join volunteers at the Rescue Mission to help prepare meals, set place settings, and prepare and clean up the dining hall. It is an honor to lend a helping hand to those in need and give back to our local community.
In addition to the volunteerism, earlier this month, Laserfiche donated 50 computer monitors to the Rescue Mission that will reside in the learning centers of both their men’s and women’s shelters. We have been so inspired by their programs and dedication to rehabilitation that we also donated $5,000 to support the organization’s efforts and enable it to have a greater impact on the local community. It is our pleasure to partner with this fantastic organization that does outstanding work in Long Beach. We look forward to serving many more meals together and celebrating the success of the program’s graduates.
