Laserfiche Celebrates Women’s History Month
Every March, the U.S. celebrates Women’s History Month, while International Women’s Day is observed worldwide on March 8. Laserfiche will be joining the celebration by highlighting some of the women who have played an important role in our company’s success.
Laserfiche was founded by Nien-Ling Wacker, a woman who began her career building custom software solutions out of her home in the 1980s. Known for her entrepreneurial spirit, she grew a small business into a globally recognized brand. Today, she is remembered as a visionary leader and a pioneer in her field.
While Nien-Ling and women like her have made game-changing contributions to technology, recent reports show that women only make up about 30 percent of the total workforce (comprising technical and nontechnical roles) at many major tech companies. At Laserfiche, however, nearly 50 percent of employees are women. Even more notable is that 35 percent of the Laserfiche development team is made up of women, far surpassing the national average of 19 percent.
Great technology is created through diversity and innovation. Laserfiche’s software reflects the visionary spirit of its founder and each of its employees, with Nien-Ling’s legacy shaping the inclusive culture that employees thrive in today.
