What’s New in Laserfiche

Stay organized and compliant with intelligent tagging to classify your content using AI. Label documents based on status, sensitivity or document type to automatically apply informational and security tags to your files. Use natural language to define the conditions under which a tag should be applied to a document, and our AI tools will automatically apply that tag during import or on demand.

Smart Chat can now answer questions about the content within folders!

When choosing entries for your Smart Chat query, you can now select folders, and Smart Chat will take any documents or subfolders within those folders into account when generating its response. This makes it easier to surface answers with the right context, drawing from all relevant documents, even when they’re stored in different folders or nested within sub-folders. Folder queries are supported from both the folder browser and search results views.

Smart Chat responses are now easier to copy and share. A new copy icon in the chat interface lets you quickly copy key sections – like search syntax, snippets of code, and structured tables – or the entire response, directly to your clipboard with just one click. Let AI find the best template for your document. This enhancement to Smart Fields now allows you to leverage AI to automatically assign the most suitable template to a document before extracting and populating individual field values. This makes end-to-end document processing smoother than ever and enables more flexible, scalable, and streamlined process automation solutions.

Administrators can designate which templates they want auto-selection to be enabled for within Repository Administration settings.

In the Repository Web Client, Smart Chat can now answer questions about your own documents and about Laserfiche product documentation – combining the capabilities of the previous “Documents” and “Educational Resources” versions into one.

In addition, Smart Chat is now available in more places across Laserfiche Cloud, including more pages within Process Automation.

Extract and analyze text in more than 60 new languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and many more.

Professional tier customers can now automate Smart Fields using Workflow, Import Agent, and more. Manage access and usage within Repository Administrator settings.

Business tier now includes 50 conditional starting events in Workflow (doubling the previous limit of 25), delivering additional value to customers at no additional cost.

Connect Laserfiche Cloud directly with external data sources for smoother, faster, more efficient integration across your systems with Direct Database Connections. This new feature gives users the ability to access data that resides outside of Laserfiche and use it throughout the Laserfiche platform in forms, workflows, and business processes. Interact with external databases in real-time using custom SQL queries, ensuring users always have access to the most up-to-date information, without the need for manual data transfers or duplication.

We’ve redesigned the single sign-on and automatic account provisioning configuration experience in Laserfiche Cloud account administration to make it more intuitive: consolidating settings, streamlining setup steps, and adding clearer guidance. This makes it easier to synchronize with external identity providers through either SCIM synchronization or just-in-time account provisioning.
