Laserfiche announced today that Bob Allen, Director of Business Applications and Process at Frisco Independent School District is the recipient of the 2017 Nien-Ling Wacker Visionary Award. Allen receives the award for being an instrumental force for process automation at the school district and across the state of Texas.
With three decades of IT experience working with Fortune 500 companies, Allen today pioneers a strategic view of Laserfiche as the foundation for Frisco ISDās information management. Frisco ISD is the fastest growing school district in the state, thanks in part to its innovative technology initiatives that improve productivity and enable scalability.
āFrisco ISDās Laserfiche system has saved the district significant administrative operating costs,ā Allen said. āMany departments now handle 25 percent more activity with the same level of staffing, and weāre able to offer improved value to the students, parents and taxpayers.ā
Under Allenās leadership, the Laserfiche implementation at Frisco ISD has extended beyond secure digital information management to foster a culture of efficiency districtwideāfrom invoice processing and new staff onboarding to academic servicing that can drive higher student performance.
āThe future plans for our Laserfiche ECM platform is limited only by our own imagination,ā Allen said.
āBob uses a deep understanding of best practices, technology and process for positive changeāwhether that means enabling staff members to reclaim hours of their workday or facilitating effective collaboration across the school district,ā said Linda Ding, Director of Strategic Marketing at Laserfiche. āHis work and advocacy are an inspiration to the entire Laserfiche community.ā
Involved in his local community as a member of the Frisco City Council, Allen approaches those responsibilities with the same forward-looking vision and focus on efficiency and better service delivery to citizens. He presents at numerous national and local conferences, including the Carnegie Foundation, American Productivity and Quality Center, and Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators. His perspective on optimizing process management has also been featured in numerous publications.
āOur founder, Nien-Ling, was a pioneer and an inventor, and she could identify what people needed often before they could see it for themselves,ā said Chris Wacker, Laserfiche CEO. āShe would have admired Bob Allenās determination and passion for using technology to transform peopleās lives.ā
Laserfiche introduced the Nien-Ling Wacker Visionary Award in 2016 to honor executives who have the foresight and vision to drive transformation throughout their organizations by leveraging Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) software.
