Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards Honor Municipalities for Public Service Optimization

Each year, Laserfiche recognizes organizations that use Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) to improve productivity, innovate processes and achieve exceptional business results. This year, Laserfiche is pleased to announce that two municipalities have won Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards for optimizing public service processes.
“Governments must navigate a landscape of numerous regulations and procedures, all while maintaining focus on delivering critical public services,” said Chris Wacker, CEO of Laserfiche. “The City of Aspen and Town of Okotoks have used Laserfiche to show their citizens that they are and will remain first priority. Congratulations!”
- City of Aspen, CO—The City of Aspen updated its voting process with Laserfiche, allowing voter information to be processed immediately and securely, even on Election Day. The city also uses Laserfiche to verify signatures on ballots and generate voter information statistics. The initiative facilitated the accurate and secure recording of last year’s nearly record-high voter turnout.
- Town of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada—The Town of Okotoks transferred 125,000 documents into Laserfiche and automated all records management processes, saving both money and time. Bylaws, agendas and meetings are now readily available to the public with Web Access. In 2015, the town focused on developing citizen service request forms which would help eliminate the need for citizens to travel to the municipal center to put in the request. The town also approved a corporate-wide project to scan all property files and have them stored within Laserfiche.
