Government Organizations Receive Laserfiche Run Smarter Awards for Public Service Excellence

Laserfiche announced today that three government organizations have won Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards for outstanding public service initiatives.
“Government agencies around the world face increasing pressure to provide more services to growing populations with fewer resources,” said Chris Wacker, CEO of Laserfiche. “By leveraging technology to eliminate paper and automate business processes, these organizations are models of modern service delivery.”
- Arkansas Department of Labor: Tasked with providing service to 3 million residents, the Arkansas Department of Labor used Laserfiche to enable inspectors to more easily report from the field. The initiative resulted in significant savings in taxpayer dollars and faster, more accurate public safety inspections.
- City of Ithaca, NY: Prioritizing government accessibility and transparency, the City of Ithaca used Laserfiche to simplify public records requests. By creating an online form and automating the record request approval process, the city enabled the public to request public records without having to travel to City Hall while streamlining the process for city employees. In two years, the city processed more than 1,800 public records requests and saved approximately 21,600 hours of staff time equaling over $500,000.
- Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Government of South Australia: The staff of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet work across South Australia’s government agencies to support the state’s economic priorities. Digitizing paper forms using Laserfiche enabled the department to more efficiently connect citizens with the services they seek, as well as cut document processing time to save the government thousands of working hours.
Each year, the Run Smarter Awards recognizes organizations that use Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) software to improve productivity, transform business processes and realize visionary initiatives. This year, The Laserfiche Run Smarter Award winners were announced during the Laserfiche Empower 2017 Conference. In total, 31 organizations from around the world were honored during the event.
