Laserfiche Highlights Framework for Information Governance at IIMC Conference

NASHVILLE, TN (Laserfiche)—May 9, 2011—Laserfiche will today discuss how enterprise content management supports governance, risk and compliance (GRC) initiatives to enable higher service levels at the 65th Annual Conference of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, TN (booths 101 and 103).
At 3:00 pm, Kimberly Samuelson, director of government strategy at Laserfiche, will present the seminar “GRC: A Framework for Sustainable Citizen Services.”
“More and more municipalities are facing increased service demands and lower budgets,” said Samuelson. “A successful information governance strategy accelerates decision-making, increases transparency and eliminates unnecessary compliance risks. It’s a necessity for municipal clerks concerned with compliance.”
In her presentation, Samuelson will discuss:
- Ways municipal clerks, IT and legal work together to drive governance.
- The four steps to building an information governance framework.
- How a governance framework ensures higher service levels, even when times are tough.
Attendees will learn how to assemble a template of the GRC framework for their municipalities; apply change management methodologies to their staff, policies and procedures; and measure the progress of their efforts using a governance maturity model.
