Laserfiche Joins HP Information Lifecycle Management Partner Program

LONG BEACH, Calif.— Laserfiche today announced that it has joined HP’s Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) Partner Program to help enterprise customers address the unique business challenges associated with digitally managing and storing documents and files.

“Complying with internal policies and government regulations, combined with the constant possibility of litigation, has made having a solid ILM plan in place an absolute necessity for many large organizations,” said Chuck Barrick, Solutions Manager at Laserfiche. “Partnering with HP allows us to better serve this market.”

As a gold-level member in HP’s ILM Partner Program, Laserfiche can greatly expand support across the HP portfolio of tiered storage. Laserfiche has focused initial testing and support on the HP Reference Information Storage Solution (RISS) device, an intelligent records management and archiving product that is a key part of HP’s ILM strategy.

Laserfiche developers used HP File Migration Agent software to maximize interoperability between Laserfiche document management servers and RISS, allowing for seamless operation between Laserfiche software and RISS, even over wide-area networks. The City of Santa Monica, Calif., recently installed one of the first bundled Laserfiche and HP RISS systems to handle all document management and archiving needs for the city.

“Using RISS allows enterprise customers to greatly reduce their storage and network infrastructure costs and transform their data into useful information,” said Bruce Cohen, worldwide alliance manager, ILM Partner Program, StorageWorks Division, HP. “The combination of HP and Laserfiche’s document and records management solutions also gives customers the benefit of advanced, out-of-the-box imaging, management and distribution capabilities.”

The HP ILM Partner Program is a specialized program within the HP Developer & Solution Partner Program that enables companies to expand market reach and gain greater visibility for their ILM applications or solutions. Laserfiche plans to expand support for other HP storage devices in the coming months.
