LONG BEACH, CA (Laserfiche)—January 12, 2010—Laserfiche today announced the winners of its annual Run Smarter Awards program, including Cambridge Financial Group, an Ohio-based registered advisor managing assets of approximately $1 billion. Each year, Laserfiche recognizes organizations that have been successful in solving their most pressing information management challenges through innovative use of Laserfiche technology.
With 12 employees managing 4,000 active accounts from 32 different brokers and supporting Delivery Versus Payment (DVP) accounts for over 50 banks, Cambridge looked to Laserfiche to maximize productivity by helping staff members quickly process 50,000 pages of statements each month.
“Quick Fields recognizes the broker account number on each document and populates the Laserfiche template fields with information from Lotus Notes/Domino and our portfolio management software,” said Mike Adams, director of technology at Cambridge. “It used to take up to three days to get our statements processed with our old information management system. With Laserfiche, statements are now automatically sorted, indexed and available for use within six hours.”
Other benefits Cambridge has realized as a result of its Laserfiche implementation include:
- Internal accounting reconciliations that used to take up to 14 days are now completed in a single day.
- The firm has reclaimed 400 square feet of file cabinet space and two storage lockers formerly used to store account records, statements and other paper documents.
- Cambridge recouped its initial investment less than a year after purchasing Laserfiche.
