Long Beach, CA – Laserfiche®, an electronic document management system (EDMS) firm, announced today that it has added three financial services companies serving approximately 500 investment advisors, financial planners and registered representatives to its roster of firms converting to “paperless back offices.”
Laserfiche, which earlier this year embarked on a major initiative to solve the paperwork headaches in the industry for investment advice, is currently installing its EDMS at the following firms across the nation:
- Infinex Financial Group, based in Meriden, CT, which will use the Laserfiche EDMS solution to serve more than 150 registered representatives at community banks in 11 states (www.infinexgroup.com).
- Sanders Morris Harris Group, based in Houston, TX, with 47 offices nationwide and a network of approximately 200 registered representatives (www.smhgroup.com).
“Sanders Morris Harris Group expects to achieve significant productivity gains and cost savings by streamlining our document management processes with the Laserfiche solution,” said Michael Hart, chief information officer of Sanders Morris Harris Group.
“By enhancing back-office efficiencies and reducing costs in rent and regulatory compliance, the return on investment (ROI) can be both immediate and long-term for Charter Oak” says Seth Braverman, director of business solutions for Continental Imaging and Technology, a Laserfiche solution provider. “Among the savings, a large cost in physical on-site storage for filing cabinets will largely be eliminated with the implementation of the Laserfiche solution, and a significant time savings will be created in retrieving that information from one’s desktop.”
With these new customers, Laserfiche now serves more than 2,000 registered investment advisors (RIAs), financial planners and/or registered representatives of broker-dealers throughout the United States. Earlier this year, Laserfiche announced a major initiative to help firms in the business of offering investment advice and planning to move toward “paperless back offices.” As part of this initiative, Laserfiche has become a member of Your Silver Bullet (www.yoursilverbullet.org), an organization dedicated to promoting software integration within the financial services industry. Laserfiche also partnered with Laser App, a leader in form-filling software, to help financial providers achieve the industry goal of “Straight Through Processing.”
Chris Wacker, senior vice president of Business Development at Laserfiche, said, “Our Laserfiche solution provides numerous benefits to financial advisors, planners and registered reps. The bottom line is that with Laserfiche, these professionals are more efficient, see a return on investment, lower their overhead costs, and improve client service by responding to requests more quickly while addressing compliance and disaster recovery requirements.
