On Aug. 12, 2016, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia presented Laserfiche with a Long Beach Business Award. Laserfiche CEO Chris Wacker received the award at the inaugural ceremony, which honored 50 local business leaders for their contributions to the city’s economy, and social and cultural fabric.
“We talk a lot in Long Beach about wanting to be a tech-friendly, tech-forward and 21st-century city,” Garcia said at the event. “Laserfiche has been leading the way and has been here—it was the first large tech company to come to Long Beach, to invest in Long Beach and to add a significant amount of jobs in the city.”
“Laserfiche continues to strengthen community partnerships, from providing software and services to the City of Long Beach to hiring local graduates from California State University, Long Beach,” said Wacker. “We are proud to bring jobs and innovation to the city, and add to the city’s growing reputation as a technology hub. I am proud to accept this award on behalf of the entire company.”
With nearly 300 employees at the company’s Long Beach headquarters, Laserfiche is the largest privately held company of its kind, and serves more than 36,000 customers worldwide. Among those customers are many of Long Beach’s city departments, including the Office of the City Clerk and the Long Beach Police Department, which uses Laserfiche to combat gang violence.
In 2015, Laserfiche was voted best technology company to work for by readers of the Los Angeles Daily News, Long Beach Press-Telegram and other publications in the Los Angeles News Group in its “Winning Workplaces” survey. The company is expanding and seeks to fill positions across all departments. To learn more, visit jobs.laserfiche.com.
