NEW YORK, NY (Laserfiche) Oct. 1, 2008—Laserfiche said today that it will present at the National Association of Independent Broker/Dealers (NAIBD) 2008 Technology & Compliance Symposium to be held on Oct. 2, at the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City.
“In these uncertain times, it is even more imperative to utilize technology to increase profitability, reduce compliance risks and enhance firm value,” said Laserfiche Director of Compliance, Jeffrey Green. “Our panel of experts, including consultant Chip Kispert with Beacon Strategies, will speak to these issues and will share information on how to adopt a best-of-breed solution like Laserfiche.”
Green will be moderating an informative session titled Business Development Practices to Enhance Firm Value and Increase Profitability. “At Laserfiche our clients have built technical platforms that have become profit centers instead of a drain on expenses,” Green commented.
The NAIBD event will be attended by decision makers from the country’s top independent securities firms. Sessions will provide a chance for broker dealers to get up to speed on the latest regulatory initiatives, understand how the recent market turmoil will affect their firms and provide guidance on how to respond in the future.
Attendees will hear the very latest from regulators, including Marc Menchel of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Steven Irwin of the Pennsylvania State Securities Commission and Robert Sollazzo of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The symposium will also feature a session for those interested in obtaining affordable independent contractor health insurance through the association.
