LONG BEACH, Calif., July 22, 2008 – Laserfiche announced today its commitment to continue to work with its scanner partners as they develop more advanced scanning solutions. “We have a certification process to ensure that new scanner products work seamlessly with the Laserfiche product suite,” said Laserfiche Technical Support Manager Andy Wang. ”And we have a growing number of customers who rely on us to confirm that a scanner model can, for example, scan up to 100 pages per minute into Laserfiche.” Wang said that his department also works closely with partners as new editions to Laserfiche are released. The next-generation Laserfiche 8 was released earlier this year. Laserfiche certified scanner partner customers include Bell & Howell, Canon, Fujitsu, HP, Kodak, Panasonic, Ricoh, Visioneer and Xerox. Laserfiche’s latest certification was for Fujitsu fi-6130/40 scanners.
According to Senior Vice President of Business Development, Chris Wacker, customers want an easy-to-use scanner that boosts office productivity by scanning, e-mailing and copying documents at the touch of a button. In addition, they want a scanner that’s certified to work with Laserfiche’s document management system, so they can quickly and easily organize, protect and retrieve their information.
More and more people are discovering the benefits of Laserfiche as a tool for eliminating paper files and reducing the huge footprint of filing cabinets. “When you realize you can reduce 500 filing cabinets, which contain approximately 10 million pages of information and take up around 6,000 cubic feet, to the size of one 500 GB hard drive, it’s a no brainer to look into a document management application and a good scanning system to get you started,” said Wacker.
