CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA (September 16, 2013)—At Gartner Symposium/ITxpo Africa, Mr. Sithembiso Ngubane, National E&P Database Manager at Petroleum Agency South Africa (PASA), will outline how his organisation uses Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) software in accordance with the provisions of the National Archives Records Service of South Africa.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday, September 17, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in Room 1.6 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
PASA currently uses Laserfiche to manage all of its information assets and automate business processes such as:
- Contract management.
- Exploration and production (EP) application capture.
- EP metadata loading from legacy systems.
- Vendor document expiry management.
- Policy and procedure management.
“Laserfiche is a flexible ECM system that has multiple applications within PASA,” said Ngubane. “In the future, we plan to integrate Laserfiche with our GIS system to allow clients to see the exploration data and information assets associated with specific sites. We also plan to use Laserfiche Forms to process orders, automate the travel request process and prepare and distribute documents for Board meetings.”
Laserfiche International, a silver sponsor, will be present at booth 5 & 7 throughout the event to demonstrate Laserfiche 9 and answer questions about how PASA is using the software. Stop by the booth for fun giveaways and a chance to win an iPad mini.
