Dallas, TX (Laserfiche)—August 2, 2010—On Tuesday, long-time Laserfiche customer Texas A&M will give a presentation titled “Empowering an Enterprise to Ensure IT Governance” at the Texas Association of State Systems for Computing and Communications (TASSCC) Conference. The session will take place at 10:30 am in the Breakout Session Section of the Grand Ballroom.

Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) works across eight campuses at Texas A&M to cut costs and increase staff productivity. With Laserfiche, the finance department at Texas A&M’s Health Science Center alone has eliminated $55,000 in shipping costs, reduced the cost of document storage by thousands of dollars a year and automated its contract management process.

“Laserfiche provides an enterprise architecture that has eliminated information silos across multiple campuses by creating a central point of control for our records,” said Kristin Nace, fiscal services director for Texas A&M’s Health Science Center. “Laserfiche makes it easy for us to comply with the Texas State Records Retention Schedule, automate the contract management process and save money on paper and shipping.”

During the presentation, Nace and Trevor Moran, senior IT consultant for the Health Science Center, will explain what led them to investigate enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, why they chose Laserfiche in particular and what the benefits have been in terms of information and IT governance.

Representatives from Laserfiche will also be on hand throughout the conference to demonstrate the company’s agile ECM solutions. Attendees who stop by the Laserfiche booth (#5) in Salon F of the Grand Ballroom will have the chance to win a Nook E-Reader.
